Yes. A refund can still be processed and will show up on the Merchant’s next invoice as a credit (the merchant will not receive cash for this). To avoid this, minimum days (i.e. minimum days to make a return) can be selected and entered on the Admin Portal; it is the decision of merchants and program operators as to whether they want to accept returns/refunds after that period.
